I2SysBio co-organizes the 'Biophyzza Connection' at the University of Valencia

The Spanish Biophysics Society (SBE) promotes at the Burjassot-Paterna Campus of the Universitat de València a day to disseminate biophysics. It will be March 21st within the Biophysics Week organized annually by the Biophysical Society of the United States with activities around the world.

Biophysics is the field that applies physics theories and methods to understand how biological systems work. In order to promote this scientific discipline among the students of the Universitat de València, a session will be held on Thursday, March 21 at Sala Darwin from 16:30h that will include the conference "Sexo, Rock & Roll y Neutrones: Biophysics.JPG" given by Professor Jesús Pérez-Gil (Universidad Complutense de Madrid), former president of the SBE and the EBSA (European Biophysical Societies Association). Pérez-Gil will share his experiences and talk about the present and future of biophysics. Next, there will be a round table in which, in addition to the speaker, the organizers of the conference will participate: Javier Buceta (I2SysBio), M. Jesús García-Murria (Biotecmed) and Ismael Mingarro (School of Biology). The day will end up sharing pizza in the bar of the School of Pharmacy to encourage communication among all participants.

The session is part of the program coordinated by the SBE ‘The Biophyzza Connection’ that also takes place in different Spanish universities.

To participate, you must register (free).
