The Board of the Institute for Integrative Systems Biology (I2SysBio, Universitat de València-CSIC) has agreed on 12 March 2024 to open the period for the submission of candidatures for the Directorship of the Institute until 5 April 2024.
Candidates must be researchers of recognised prestige who possess the suitability and professional qualifications required to carry out the functions inherent to the post, and may be faculty members belonging to the CSIC or to the University of Valencia who are attached to the institute through the joint centre agreement.
For the submission of applications, in accordance with the instructions received from the Management of Governing Bodies of Joint Institutes of the Deputy Vice-Presidency for Institutional Relations of the CSIC State Agency, the application must be accompanied by the following documents:
- Management project defining the objectives to be fulfilled during the years of the mandate.
- Full curriculum vitae.
Applications must be sent together with the required documentation by e-mail to the secretariat of the Board (gerencia.i2sysbio@csic.es), which will acknowledge receipt of the application.
Phases of the Procedure
- 14 March to 5 April. Presentation of candidatures.
- Extraordinary meeting of the Institute Board on 9 April, for the certification of the candidacies presented. Convening of the meeting of faculty members.
- Meeting of the faculty members on 16th April. Discussion of the projects presented and collection of contributions from the faculty members. Issuing of a report by the faculty members.
- Extraordinary meeting of the Institute Board on 18 April, where a report will be drawn up on the candidatures and a proposal will be submitted to the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees will choose a candidature and propose it to the co-owning institutions for the formal appointment of the Director.
- Resolution of the Presidency of the CSIC and the Rectorate of the University of Valencia.
