The CSIC and the Universitat de València have inaugurated the Institute of Integrative Systems Biology (I2SysBio), which is located in the Science Park Foundation The centre, which is open to collaboration with companies, is intended for the study of complex biological systems, such as certain micro-organisms.

The Institute for Integrative Systems Biology (joint centre of the CSIC and the Universitat de València) focuses its research on the structure, function, dynamics, evolution and manipulation of complex biological systems, overall on the microorganisms systems.  Framed in five different action areas –interdisciplinary work for the resolution of common problems, development of excellence research, knowledge transfer, researcher’s training and promotion of Integrative Systems Biology in Spain–, the institute is open to the participation of companies.

The mural is in the lobby of the Institute for Integrative Systems Biology (I2SysBio), which is in the Science Park Foundation of the Universitat de València. This research centre depends on the Universitat de València and the CSIC (Spanish National Research Council).
