Where are the French and German B2 certification exams recognised?

The German and French certification exams are only recognised by the University of Valencia according to agreement 156/2018 of 10 July, approved by the Governing Council.

What is the difference between the PACLE exams with the CertAcles seal and the other B2 certification exams organised by the Language Centre (not PACLE)?

PACLE exams with the CertAcles seal are recognised by the Spanish university system, the Regional Government of Valencia and certain local authorities. You can check where the CertAcles exams are recognised here.

The German and French certifications exams are only recognised by the University of Valencia (more information here).

Who can register for exams?

The exams are open to anyone over 16 years of age whose native language is different from the one they want to certify.

How do I register for a certification exam?

To register you have to go to the COURSES page and fill in the form and payment.

If you are entitled to the discounted price, you have to indicate it in the registration form. These are the people with discounts:

  • University of Valencia students: attach a copy of your registration for the current academic year.
  • Students of the Language Centre UV: no need to attach documentation.
  • PAS/PDI/PIF UV: tick the corresponding box on the registration form so that we can inform the Languages Service.

Are there examples of the French and German B2 exams?

At the moment, you can only find an example of the exam with answers for French. You can download it here.

I have special needs, can the exam to be adapted?

Candidates with special needs must communicate this at the time of registration and submit the relevant documents. In collaboration with the Unit for the Integration of Persons with Disabilities at the UV, we will then adapt the materials and/or the conditions for the exam to be carried out.

Can the registration fees be refunded if I register and decide not to take the exam?

Any person may cancel their registration at least one month - thirty calendar days - before the date of the trials, and will be reimbursed 100% of the registration fee. Only written resignations submitted in writing to the CdIUV Secretary's Office will be accepted: contactocdi@uv.es. If the candidate does not appear at the tests and has not previously communicated his/her resignation as established, no reimbursement will be made.

I was unable to take the exam due to unforeseen circumstances. Can I get a refund for the fees?

There is no refund for any registration fees paid if you are unable to attend on the day of the exam.

When will the results be published?

The results will be published three to five weeks after the exam.

Where can I find my results?

The Language Centre's website and social networks will notify you when the results are available. In the next two working days a statement of results will be sent to the email address that you provided at the time of registration, regardless of whether you have passed the exam or not. If you have passed the exam, you will be sent instructions to download your certificate.

How can I request a review of the exam?

After the results have been published, you have 7 days to request a review of your exam. You must request the review in writing to acreditacdi@uv.es. In the email you must include your name and surname, candidate number and the exam language and level.

After this 7-day period, the Language Centre has up to 15 days to make a decision on the request.

Under no circumstances will requests for review be carried out in the presence of the candidate or advice be given on the errors made or on how to improve language skills to pass the exam.

If I do not pass one part, can retake only the part that I have not passed?

No partial results are saved from one exam to another, so you will need to retake the complete exam.
