Humanities, and as part of them, history of art, are not an exception of this internationalisation of knowledge and professional work. Participation in these networks (academic, training, research, institutional…) requires the use of a shared language globally, as English has been during several decades. Moreover, there are other reasons to complete the specialised knowledge in art history with a good proficiency in English of this field of knowledge, such as the European growing dimension of our cultural institutions, and the available professions for students of the Universitat de València.
