The Cervantes Institute has recently announced a new convocation for grant apllications for teacher of Spanish as a foreign language. The call, called "Scholarship Program for Teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language", aims to support Spanish teachers in the development of their career and improve the teaching of Spanish throughout the world.
The Centre d'Idiomes at the University of Valencia has a wide variety of Spanish as a foreign language courses to improve all the necessary communication skills. Among others, there are general courses of A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, language and culture courses, language tourism, preparation of certification exams (DELE and SIELE) and oral and written expression courses adapted to your level.
Returning to the offer of the Cervantes Institute, the program offers a total of 20 scholarships, intended for teachers of Spanish as a foreign language who wish to develop research projects or improve teaching. The scholarships cover travel, accommodation and living expenses during the period of stay in Spain, which will be a minimum of two months and a maximum of six months.
To access one of these scholarships, applicants must meet a number of requirements, including having at least three years of experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language, being employed as Spanish teachers at the time of application and having a good knowledge of Spanish. In addition, the proposed projects must be related to the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language and be original and innovative.
The application period for these scholarships is open until 15 March 2023, and the results of the selection will be announced at the end of April 2023. Selected teachers will have the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of activities, including workshops, conferences and meetings with other teachers of Spanish as a foreign language.
