As for UV students, they will also have a 50% discount on language courses and assessment tests.

More than 10,000 people, between UV staff and students, will benefit from the University of Valencia Language Centre discounts.

Last Monday the University of Valencia Language Centre presented the centre's new management model and the catalogue of services/rates in the Assembly Hall of the Rectorate building. The presentation was attended by the trade unions representing the University of Valencia (CCOO, UGT, STEP and CSI-CSIF).

The University of Valencia Language Centre is the University of Valencia's own facility and offers courses to study Valencian and foreign languages, assessment tests, private classes, translation, consulting and interpretation services, space rental and event organisation.

This is why the University will make a 100% discount (the Languages Service (SLPL)) available to all its Teaching and Research staff (PDI), Administration and Services Staff (PAS) and Research and Research Support Staff (PI) for any courses or assessment tests carried out at the UV Language Centre.

Furthermore, a 50% discount is available for UV students who want to take a course at the University of Valencia Language Centre or take an assessment test. It should be noted that the Language Service (SLPL) has increased the subsidy from 25% last year to 50% this year.

In addition to the general range of face-to-face and online courses (available at https://www.uv.es/cdi), whether annual, quarterly or intensive, any UV body, service or unit can request a tailor-made course from the Language Centre to be taught at the time agreed with staff, within the facilities of the University of Valencia on any of the three campuses located in the city of Valencia or even on the Ontinyent campus.

The professional team that makes up the UV Language Centre staff gives advice on the teaching of modern languages, as well as on obtaining language knowledge assessment certificates in a personalised manner and according to the professional and academic objectives indicated by each PDI, PAS or PI of the University. In addition, immediate family members of UV workers have a 10% discount on prices for the general public.

Finally, it should be noted that Erasmus students who come to study Spanish as a foreign language with the International Relations Programme for incoming Erasmus students have 60-hour courses for €85, subsidised by the Language Service (SLPL).
