First of all, it is important to note that a user is a participant who has permissions in the Virtual Classroom. In this section we can find information about the users enrolled in a course, such as which roles and which permissions according to these roles they can have.

  • Enrolled users: provides us with a list of the participants in the group including their names, surnames, Universitat de València email address, their roles, their groups (if they are in any), their last access to the course and whether they are active or not.
  • Enrolment methods:
    • Manual enrolments: allows users to be enrolled manually. Thus, the professor can manage individually or collectively the enrolment to the course.
    • Guest access: allows users under the role of "Guest" to view the contents of a course, but not to participate in any activity.
    • Self-enrolment (students): allows users to register themselves (directly or via a password); in this way, the teacher does not need to add participants manually.
  • Groups: groups are groupings of participants enrolled in the same course. This tool is very useful, for example, to create collaborative work groups in a course; or if we want to generate a questionnaire (or test), so that one group has a questionnaire and another group has a different one.
  • Other users: this parameter provides a list of users not enrolled in the course but with inherited or assigned roles in the course.
  • Import Enrolls: this import extension allows you to import user entries from a delimited text file into the course. No new user accounts will be set up, so each of the users listed in the input file must have an account set up on the site.
