Description of research activity:

Synthesis of heterocyclic nitrogen compounds and subsequent study of their chemical reactivity. Study the ability of the prepared compounds to coordinate with different cationic and/or anionic species and study the possible applications of these interactions. Based on this knowledge, the possible pharmacological activity of the prepared compounds will be studied.

Scientific-technical goals:
  • Desarrollo de nuevas metodologias sinteticas para la preparacion de compuestos heterociclicos nitrogenados.
  • Estudio de la reactividad de los compuestos preparados: Propiedades acido-base, reactividad frente a nucleofilos y electrofilos. Reacciones de funcionalizacion.
  • Estudios de interaccion de los heterociclos preparados con especies cationicas y/o anionicas asi como con biomoleculas. Aplicaciones como sensores.
  • Estudio de las posibles actividad farmacologica de los compuestos preparados.
