Currently, the group's main research activity is focused on the study of high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) and triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).We essentially focused on the study of the generation of drug resistance through cell models, murine models and patient samples.
- Study of AXL-GAS6 as a mechanism of resistance to PARP inhibitors in COSAG and CMTN through replicative stress and immunomodulation
- Analysis of the role of the p53-Aurora kinase pathway as potential predictive biomarkers and therapeutic targets in COSAG and CMTN
- Analysis of AXL and the epithelial-mesenchymal transition as a mechanism of resistance to PARP inhibitors in high-grade ovarian cancer
- Study of the role of trabectedin in reversal to resistance to platinum and PARP inhibitors
- Study of the generation of drug resistance in high-grade serous ovarian cancer and triple negative breast. The group focuses on studying the generation of mechanisms of resistance to different drugs used in clinical practice for ovarian cancer, specifically high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) and triple negative breast cancer (TNBC).
