The GIEAA Humanities research group is driven by the professor and researcher of the teaching unit in East Asian Studies at the University of Valencia, Gabriel Terol. The germ of the group arose from the creation of the Valencian Academic Association for Asian and African Studies (AAVEAA- RNA-2019) in 2019. It is a non-profit academic teaching and research group committed to the study, teaching and academic research of all public universities in the Valencian community in all areas of specialisation for cultural and economic relations as well as for the languages, literatures and traditions of religious and philosophical thought of Asia and Africa. In this regard, this Research Group is the scientific productive extension of the aforementioned group. The first acts as an entity that gives visibility to the transversality and multidisciplinarity of the academics of the Valencian community committed to issues of Asia and Africa, while the second represents and is committed to carrying out specialized studies and supporting the strengthening of regulated university programmes.
