GIUV2026-034
The group conducts theoretical research in quantum information science, covering fundamental aspects of quantum information theory and applications in quantum technologies. Advances in the control and measurement of quantum systems enable new approaches to information processing, simulation, and precision measurements. The group studies the identification, quantification, and characterization of quantum resources and correlations, and their use in quantum computing, quantum simulation, and quantum metrology. The research spans general theoretical foundations and the exploration of the potential of specific experimental platforms under realistic conditions. Training of doctoral and early-career researchers is a central component of the groups activity.
- Identification and quantification of quantum resources and correlations relevant for quantum technologies
- Determination of fundamental limits of measurement precision, and strategies to surpass classical bounds
