Academic, scientific or professional interest:

The degree in Business Intelligence and Analytics (BIA) is a novelty in the Spanish university academic program and responds to the growing demand for professionals with skills in business analytics. The objective of this new qualification is to develop human resources with both technical competencies and a business vision. We aim to produce skilled professionals who are well-acquainted with modern data technologies and their potential applications in business management, i.e. professionals with a clear knowledge of the real needs of companies and a high level of creative initiative to face the challenges of the digital economy and understand the new ways in which all sectors interact and converge in the market.

Worth Noting:

BIA students will receive quantitative and technological training and will acquire a balanced set of skills for business management as well as an adaptable and flexible mindset oriented towards achieving sustainable results. Furthermore, BIA students will develop the ability to collaborate and work in a team, and will gain openness to innovation, especially concerning everything related to the new patterns and trends which are shaping today’s digital environment.

This degree shares credits with the rest of graduate courses taught by the Faculty of Economics. In addition, students must take optional modules to a credit value of 30 in the fourth academic year, where there are five subjects among ten to choose from.
