Brexit makes it impossible for British universities to continue participating in the Erasmus programme. However, our University has a long history of collaboration with a large number of British institutions.

For this reason, this event, in which participated delegates from 16 British universities, 38 Spanish, representatives of SEPIE, the British Council Spain and the British and Spanish embassies, was essential for the existing cooperation channels to have continuity, despite the obstacles that may result from the new situation in the United Kingdom, especially with regards to student mobility.

The conference was inaugurated by the Rector of the Universitat de València together with the Rector of the University of Seville, the directors of the Unit for Internationalisation of SEPIE, the British Council as well as representatives of the Spanish Ministry of Universities. During the event, not only the new funding opportunities offered by the British Government for the management of mobility were explained, but also, examples of best practices between Spanish and British universities were presented. The day concluded with a networking activity among the universities.
