Vicent Andrés Estelles's work, to debate today Monday at La Nau

“Vicent Andres Estelles, vadility and present of his literary work” is the title of the conference which will be held this Monday 12 May at the Cultural Centre La Nau of the UV. This lecture is carried out with the Valencian Academy of the Language on the occasion of the publication of the study: “Vicent Andrés Estellés’s literary work. Genres, poetic translations and style” by Vicent Salvador y Manuel Perez Saldanya (Editada by the AVL, Col•lecció Recerca, 2013).

The Aula Magna of the historic building of the UV will host this event at 19:00, it will be free entrance to fill the building’s capacity and it will be broadcasted in live through MediaUni (http://mediauni.uv.es/tv), from where the audiovisual archive could be checked afterwards through the Culture Channel.

The event will be attended by the authors of the book, Vicent Salvador, full university professor of Catalan Philology of the University Jaume I; and Manuel Pérez Saldanya, full university professor of Catalan Philology of the UV and member of the AVAL, and the poet and essayist, Jaume Perez Montaner. The act will be moderated by Antonio Ariño, Vice-principal of Culture and Equality.

The volume, published by the AVAL, offers a systematic panoramic view of the Estelles’s work as a base of diverse genres and as product of some poetic traditions that the author knew how to assimilate and transform into a suggestive and innovative lyric. The purpose of this book is “to offer a far-reaching reflection organized around some exes which contribute to construct Estelles’s vision as a great contemporary port, not only in the Valencian framework but also in the international literary cannon”, said Pérez Saldanya, member of the AVAL and the co-editor of the book.
