
Alicia Salvador, full professor of psychobiology at Universitat de València, has been appointed member of the Executive Committee (UIPsyS)of the International Union of Psychological Sciences. This appointment has been awarded during the general assembly of the UIPsyS, which was celebrated during the XXX International Congress of Psychology in Cape Town, South Africa. The appointment was suggested by the Spanish professional associations of psychologists and the Spanish Federation of Psychology Associations.
During the first meeting of the Executive Committee, Salvador has been charged of the relations with the Sociedad Interamericana de Psicología (SIP). Salvador is Dean of Facultat de Psicologia and has been chairwoman of Sociedad Española de Psicofisiología y Neurociencia Cognitiva, and chairwoman of Sociedad de Estudios de Psicología as well. She is a researchers at IDOCAL and co-director of the master’s degree Master Oficial de Neurociencias Básicas y Aplicadas. She is also co-director of the doctorate programme of neuroscience.
IUPsyS is a group of scientific associations of psychology which represent this knowledge area in more than 80 countries in the world. As attached members, they have more than 15 international psychology associations. IUPsyS is member of the International Council of Sciences and founder of the Social Sciences Council.
