
The republican politician and thinker Antonio Garcia-Trevijano offers tomorrow, Friday 14 December, a conference-debate at the Faculty of Geography and History of the University of Valencia. The intellectual author will talk about the monarchy of political parties and will exchanged views with the attendants. The lecture will start at 18:00 in the Saló d'Actes Joan Fuster. Admission is free.
Antonio Garcia-Trevijano (Granada, 1927) is a republican politician and philosopher. In 1974, he coordinated the manifesto of the Junta Democrática de España (Democratic Board of Spain), which also wrote it. Moreover, he was the responsible for exposing the discourse of this Board at the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Later, in 1976, he led the fusion of the Junta Democrática de España and the Plataforma de Convergencia (Convergence Platform), which led to the creation of a new organization: Platajunta.
Garcia-Trevijano is the author of several books about political thought, among them the most notably is the work Teoría Pura de la República.
