BP Oil Spain, the Registry of Companies and GH Electrotermia awarded the XVII Premios Universidad-Sociedad

BP Oil Spain, the Registry of Companies and GH Electrotermia are three of the companies awarded the XVII Premios Universidad-Sociedad, which are the prizes organized every year by the Universitat’s social council aimed at awarding the best university-company cooperation examples. Some members of the university community have also received recognition awards.

BP Oil Spain is the third company in the oil sector in Spain and it deserves the prize for the collaboration with the Universitat de València since 2001. It has signed 24 contracts, mainly on the road safety area, worth more than 390,000 Euros. The Registry of Companies of Valencia has been awarded due to its programme of company internships, which has received more than 200 Universitat’s students since 2005.

In the section of collaboration trajectory, the company GH Electrotermia, devoted to produce induction and thermal treatment of metals equipments, is the awarded company for collaborating with the Universitat since 1987. GH has also participated in other programmes over these 25 years, as the internships company programme managed by its Fundación Universidad-Empresa (ADEIT).

Awards to the university community

Besides these awards, the lecturer of the Departament de Arqueologia, Joan Bernabeu, has been awarded thanks to his international researches, collaborations with different public and private entities on anthropological studies in archaeologic excavations. The masters’ degree titled Intervención en las Dificultades del Aprendizaje, on treatment of learning difficulties, is awarded within the section devoted to award the postgraduate training. The technicians of the Unitat d’Innovació Educativa are awarded for implementing and developing scholarships to innovative students.

Regarding the training excellence section, the lecturers awarded are: Mª Luisa Ferrándiz of the Facultat de Farmàcia; María Iborra of the Facultat d’Economia; Emilia Matallana of the Facultat de Ciències Biològiques; Göran Rollnert of the Facultat de Dret; Bernardino Salinas of the Facultat de Magisteri; Mª Dolores Sancerni of the Facultat de Psicologia; and Daniel Sánchez of the Facultat de Medicina i Odontologia.
