
Tomorrow, Thursday 3 April, the Discussion Forum of the University of Valencia organises the event ‘Xàtiva interpreta Raimon’ to mark the launching of the album of versions of songs by Raimon, with the voices of bands and soloists from Xàtiva. The event will take place at the Cultural Centre of La Nau (Capella de la Sapiència), at 19:00 and access is free while space is available.
With the participation of Vicent Àlvarez, Joan Ramos and Antoni López who will bring music to the evening, Miquel Juan (piano), the Micalet Choir, directed by Miquel Juan, and the voices of Rosa Barberà and Eva Romero, accompanied by the clarinet of Dario Giner and the piano of Adolfo García, respectively.
Raimon (Xàtiva, 2 December 1940), one of the most representative members of the contemporary history of the New song, has been recently awarded with the Honour Award of the Catalan Letters becoming the first singer-songwriter who gets this award.
