The Cultural Centre La Nau of the University of Valencia (C/Universitat, 2) will have on Friday, 21 February, the presence of El Gran Wyoming, an event organized to mark the 50th anniversary of the Valencian weekly newspaper ‘Cartelera Turia’. The event, which will be held at the Paranimf of the University, AT 19:00 (the entry is free until full capacity is reached), it can be also followed live from the Sanchis Guarner Hall of the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication of the University of Valencia (Avenida de Blasco Ibáñez 32) and from MediaUni (http://mediauni/tv).
During the event, José Miguel Monzón, awarded several times with the Turia Awards (‘Caiga quien caiga’ i ‘El Intermedio’), will present his latest book 'No estamos locos', where he recounts with humour, irony and social criticism the current events of these days. Wyoming is currently presenter of one of the most intelligent space of humour and information, with a great impact on the audience.
However, this multifaceted character has also acted as a comedian, actor, musician, scriptwriter and even as a doctor. Throughout his career he has received numerous awards for his work on ‘El Intermedio’ and as a writer of several books. The author’s signature is expressed in the last sentence of ‘No estamos locos’: “Do as I do, and do not meddle with politics”.
