
The exhibition ‘Comercio Justo y Desarrollo’ (fair traide and devolopment), organized by the organization IDEAS, can be visited at the Universitat de València’s Facultat de Farmàcia until next March 10th. Patronat Sud-Nord is displaying this exhibition around the UV’s campuses to raise public awareness of matters such as the eradication of poverty, the respect for the environment, the fostering of human relationships’ equity, and the promotion of a business management with a responsible attitude towards society.
The Universitat de València’s Facultat de Filosofia has hosted the exhibion during the last 20 days. It is composed of four exhibition panels, which link fair trade to sustainable development model through the mentioned topics: contribution to the eradication of poverty, the respect for the environment, the fostering of human relationships’ equity, and the promotion of a business management with a responsible attitude towards society.
The Fair Trade organization IDEAS coordinates the project ‘Universidades por el Comercio Justo’ since 2010. This project’s goal is to encourage Spanish universities to develop actions related to fair trade as a useful tool for sustainable development. Universities of Catabria, Córdoba, Extremadura, Jaén, Málaga, Alcalá and València, as well as UNED, Carlos III, Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Menéndez Pelayo and Autónoma de Madrid participate in this project.
