The Principals of the Valencian public universities had a meeting last Monday, January the 9th, with the Consell’s Vice-President and the Valencian Minister for Culture. After the meeting, the universities issued a joint communiqué.
According to the document issued by the universities, during the meeting the Valencian Government has affirmed its wish to:
1- Maintain the biannual financing plan as a valid reference framework in its relations with the Valencian public universities.
2 – To call the Comisión Técnica de Seguimiento del Plan Plurianual de Financiación (technical monitoring committee for the biannual financing plan) shortly.
3 - The biannual financing plan 2011 monthly payment corresponding to the month of November will be paid in January and the following monthly payments will be regularly paid along 2012.
4 - It will acknowledge the effort made by the public universities with the acceptance of the updating of the postponement of debt agreement since the adjustement measures begun.
5 - The Valencian Government and the public universities reaffirm their mutual wish to maintain a constant dialogue and communication.
