The Universitat de València’s Institute of Criminology and Criminal Science has organized an international seminar on the measures to fight against gender-based violence recurrence. This event is taking place next May 17th and 18th in the conference hall at Gregori Maians library, Tarongers Campus.
The seminar is going to be hosted by the lecturers of criminal law at Universitat de València Margarita Roig and Emiliano Borja. The institute director and full professor of criminal law, Enrique Orts, is closing a seminar which has had the collaboration of the Equal Opportunities Department, Departament de Dret Penal, and the Facultat de Dret.
Among others, the following people is taking part: Luis Salas, full university professor of criminal law and director of Centro para la Administración de Justicia at Universidad Internacional de Florida; Michael Kilchling, senior researcher at Max Planck Institute; Gonzalo Quintero, full university professor of criminal law at Universitat de Tarragona; and Tomás Vives, emeritus professor of criminal law at Universitat de València and former vice-president of the Constitutional Court.
The Universitat de València’s Institute of Criminology and Criminal Science is an interdisciplinary research centre specialized in many criminal areas. For example, minor criminal offences, violence at schools, organized crime, urban offences, road accidents, forensic analysis, multiculturalism and criminal law, legal psychology, victimology, penitentiary enforcement, mediation, and violence against women.
