Jesús Alcolea has been appointed new Dean of Universitat de València’s Facultat de Filosofia i Ciències de l’Educació. He is a lecturer of logics and science philosophy, and has gained 19 votes in favor and 7 blank votes. Alcolea replaces Ramón López, who was the last Dean of that faculty.
His team is made up of Rosa María Bueno Bonet, Laura García Raga, Paula Jardón Giner, María Jesús Perales Montolio, Vicente Claramonte Sanz, and Paula Gilabert.
He is a tenured lecturer since 1986, and recently, he has been appointed full profesor. He is a doctor in philosophy and he has taught at this same degree, along with maths and social education. He has also taught at non-approved by the state university education, such as the teaching programmes of La Nau Gran or Universitat Oberta. He has been secretary and director of department at his faculty.
