Mónica Oltra, Ernesto Ekaizer and Antonio Ariño debate today in La Nau on the Bárcenas corruption affair

“Caso Bàrcenas: el baile de los depredadores” (Bárcenas affair: the dance of the predators) is the title of a debate organised by the Universitat de València for 5 November, in which will participate the vice-president of the Valencian Government, Mónica Oltra; the journalist Ernesto Ekaizer; and the Vice-Principal for Culture, Equality and Communication, Antonio Ariño. The session will start at 19:00 at the auditorium of the Cultural Centre La Nau.

Ernesto Ekaizer recently published the book “Queríamos tanto a Luis”, where he reveals new information about one of the political corruption affairs of a greatest impact in the last years: the one that implicates the ex-treasurer of the PP Spanish political party Luis Bárcenas, among other accused members.

Ekaizer was born in Buenos Aires in a Jewish family, he started to work as a journalist in the “Panorama” magazine and in the “La Opinión” newspaper, among other Argentinian publications. During the eighties he moved to Spain and joined “La Vanguardia” and “Cambio 16”. Later, he became subdirector of “El Globo” magazine and director of the “Cinco Días” economic journal. In 1998 he was hired by “El País” newspaper initially as a special envoy to cover events relating the Pinochet case. Since the beginning of the decade of the 2000, he participates frequently in journalistic debates about the current politics for TV and radio.
