One more time, Expociència has beat its public attendance record: more than 3,500 people, adults and children, came over Universitat de València’s Parc Científic and spent a whole Saturday morning surrounded by science.
This is one of the most attractive initiatives of Parc Científic, which tries to disseminate science socially this way. Research institutes and centres in PCUV, along with some companies located in the park are collaborating in this initiative. New this year, the school of engineering – ETSE –, next to Parc Científic, is taking part as well.
The facilities of Parc Científic were open to the public, and the researchers showed them, as well as the way to do some experiments in a playful way. From the production of artificial snow, space telescopes or live conection with South Pole, among other activities, were possible at this encounter. Some of the ideas this year were Bar de Ciencias, scientific theatre or the competitions of robots.
