One of the Universitat de València’s spin-off companies, ESAM TECNOLOGIA, located at Parc Científic, has developed the tool e-nquest. This web-based tool allows comprehensively managing online surveys. It is a software useful for the management of market research. It is an innovative, easy system, which has been designed with the aim to make designing, publishing and monitoring of surveys easier for any user with basic technological knowledge.
e-nquest has a hierarchical structure of internal organization very flexible, which is both good for simple surveys and complex ones, and can be adapted to any targeted groups no matter how large they are. This tool gathers data in a centralized way, that means, through a single data base, from different operative channels and systems (web, iOS, Android). ‘In the late months, we have developed a great R&D activity in order to make e-nquest a reference programme in the market research area. The technology we have used is innovative, efficient, flexible and easy to used’, ESAM’s manager, Ignacio Sánchez, affirms.
Many companies and institutions are already using this tool for their different studies. That is the case of CODEC-Comunitat de Consumidors project, which ESAM has started with GFK EMER, an international company devoted to market researches. GFK, uses e-nquest in a satisfaction survey applied to gas stations, supermarkets and fast-food restaurants. Moreover, Universitat de València has also used this tool for certain sociologic studies within a project linked to the Spanish Ministry for Education, where more than 50 universities are involved.
Nowadays, ESAM is finishing a new versión of this software, called e-nequest 4.0, which includes new features in the programming environment. This research goes beyond the market research. It prepares new modules oriented to the auditing and electronic catalogues field, where the first trials have been already done. ESAM TECNOLOGIA is a spin-off company of Universitat de València. It was created from LISITT, the Laboratori Integrat de Sistemes Intel.ligents i Tecnologoies de Trànsit, which is attached to the Institute of Robotics (IRTIC). It is located at UV’s Parc Científic and it was founded in 2007. It is devoted to the development, maintenance and consulting of integral information systems.
