This Wednesday it has been presented the thirteenth edition of the Summer University of Gandia, which has the theme 'Europe.Fact or fiction. Problem and Solution ', and to be held in Gandia 15 to July 24.The 2013 edition of the UEG is presented as a space to think about the idea of Europe as a possible way out of the complex situation that society is experiencing today.
This year's edition includes 21 courses of 20, 15, 12 and 10 hours, which can be validated as elective credits, and some also include recognition of Lifelong Learning Service. The courses are divided into two blocks. A first block is to analyze the idea of Europe from the culture, history, language, human rights, the University, the labor market, law or politics. The second, on various subjects, meets the diverse knowledge and concerns of students, where courses are dedicated to pediatrics, active aging, language or heritage equal health.
Course enrollment begins on Thursday May 23 and runs through Sunday July 7. It may enter through the center web www.uv.es / cig or in the facilities of the University of Valencia in Gandia, Tossal street, 8.
As for the open activities, as is customary has scheduled a series of roundtables to be held at 20pm at the Casa de la Marquesa and where they speak of the crisis of democratic values, European cinema, the situation of Valencia in a Europe in crisis or the Valencian company in the current context. Meanwhile, after 23h and the garden of the Casa de la Marquesa the main role will be held by the theater, music and film. The theater will come the first night of the hand of the Company Escena Erasmus who perform the play "Travelers", involving mainly European students. There will also be time for cinema, nights of 17 and 18 July, with screenings of The big "illusion" of Jean Renoir and "London River" by Rachid Bouchareb respectively.
Meanwhile, the music will star in the nights of 19, 22 and July 23. The first of the evening is dedicated to honoring Estellés with poetry and music show "Estellés mà a mà".The last two nights will be time world music with bluegrass are Pilgrims and blues Aziza Brahim Sahara respectively.
Inaugural Conference
This year, the inaugural conference will be conducted by Enrique Barón. Political economist, lawyer and essayist Spanish. Thirtieth anniversary
The UEG 2013 celebrates its thirtieth edition. And to commemorate an exhibition has been prepared which is a tour of the three decades of its history from the beginnings to the 80 scored by the first years of democracy to this day where he lives a time marked by the global economic and civic identity. The exhibition will open on Monday July 15 at CIG-UV and remain there throughout the month of July.
