Recognition awards to the best students of the first year and to the best graduate students

Vice-Principal for Studies and Language Policy, Isabel Vázquez, directed the recognition of students of Universitat de València with the best academic recognition. These students were awarded by the Carmen Izquierdo Besante Monzó Foundation. The session took place at the Boardroom of the Principal’s building.

At the event, María José Añón, general secretary at Universitat; Daniel González, delegate of the principal for students; Javier Pastor, agent of Carmen Izquierdo Besante Monzó Foundation; and the deans of the faculties to which the awarded students belonged or still belong.

Carmen Izquierdo Besante Monzó Foundation will give a 500€ award to every best student of first year, of 2013-2014, coming from every area of knowledge. The award-winners were: Rubén Sancho Portolés, a Mathematics student (Sciences, Engineering and Architecture Branch); Francesc Xavier Duart Contreras, a Psychology student (Health Sciences Branch); Joaquín Barceló Orgiler, an Art History student (Arts and Humanities Branch); and Iván Navarro Flores, an Audiovisual Communication student (Social and Legal Sciences Branch).

Some awards have also been given to the best records for graduate students (2013/2014 academic year) which corresponded to Marcos Solera Diana, a Mathematics student (Sciences, Engineering and Architecture Branch); Alba Rodríguez Juan, a Psychology student (Health Sciences Branch); Josep Escrig Rosa, a History student (Arts and Humanities Branch); and Fernando Molinero Revert, a Law student (Social and Legal Sciences Branch).
