The University of Valencia will host on Friday, 29 November, the international seminar 'social spaces for creativity and innovation hidden', a conference held in the framework of the European project 3C4INCUBATORS , which capitalizes results of various projects above with a common denominator: to analyse the relevance of cultural and creative activities for regional development.

The purpose of the seminar is to approximate the relationship between various forms of space and creation, especially those that trigger latent innovation and hidden processes that may have effective capacity of social and economic transformation of much relevance in the context of current crisis.

This conference aims to draw a complete tour around the diversity of experiences of social engineering on creating spaces: incubators for cultural projects, artist residencies, co-working spaces, building factories, cultural clusters and districts, creative cities, artistic scenes, creative uses of public spaces, virtual platforms fostering creativity, workshops and experimental spaces, cultural centres, unusual venues...

Thus, a dual objective is pursued. First, try to reflect collaboratively on a theoretical framework to grasp the different types of creative spaces and identify their roles and impacts on cultural generating systems. Second, pick up a wide range of experiences to illustrate, from the creative praxis, the various possible uses of space (physical or virtual) to promote social creativity and hidden innovation.

Some of these arguments will be illustrated by the more than fifteen cultural organizations and experts who will participate in the three presentations and two panels that make up the programme, providing a comparative analysis between different European experiences: Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Madrid (Sergio Martin Blas, Polytechnic University of Madrid), Bilbao (Andoni Garaizar and Aintzane Lekunberri, of Kultiba) Bordeaux ( Jean Pierre Brossard, consultant) and, of course, Valencia .

The conference will be opened by the general manager of Culturarts, Manuel Tomás .

This meeting is aimed at both cultural and creative entrepreneurs, artists and cultural managers, and municipal technicians, researchers, students and policymakers interested in the role of creativity and innovation as a factor of local development.
