Second edition of ‘Cinema a la fresca’ today

El Palleter de Velluters and Rincón de la Corbella’s neighbourhood associations, in collaboration with the Linguistic Policy Service of Universitat de València, repeats its open air cinema initiative. It is going to consist of uninterrupted weeks of the latest cinema in Valencian language. Today, the last film by Ventura Pons is scheduled.

This initiative is aimed at Velluters’ neighbours and all members in the university community, but the general public can take part as well. The programme begins today, June 14th, with the screening of the last film by Ventura Pons, Any de Gràcia, which is a funny intergenerational story featuring Rosa Maria Sardà, Oriol Pla, Amparo Moreno, and Santi Millán. Then, the last hit of the year is scheduled, Intouchables, a film by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano.

Other interesting films are also scheduled such as Midnight in Paris, the last movie by Woody Allen, which achieved the Oscar for the best original script; Albert Nobbs, which has three nominations to the Oscars and is starring Glenn Close; and Arrugues, Goya award 2012 for being the best animation film. This programme is ending on July 19th with the film Tintín i el secret de l’Unicorni, by Steven Spilberg.

Then, every Thursday at 22:00, in Plaza del Pilar in Valencia, one movie in Valencian language is starting. Entrance is free, but do not forget to bring your own chairs!
