Symposium ‘Stichomythia’ on theatre methodologies applied to the new contemporary dramatic writing last Wednesday the 14th

The Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació (Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication) is hosting the symposium ‘Stichomythia’ on theatre methodologies applied to the new contemporary dramatic writing, which started last Wednesday the 14th , and is ending today, Friday the 16th. The sessions are devided in three axes: methodologies of study of the history of Hispanic contemporary theatre; the use of the methodologies in theatre’s history researchs; and the use of the methodologies in the study of the output of current dramatic writing.

The symposium was opened on Wedenesday the 14th, by the Dean of the Facultat de Filologia, Traducció i Comunicació, María José Coperías, and by the symposium’s director, Josep Lluís Sirera. This ceremony took place in the lectures hall of the faculty from 10:30. The opening lecture titled Los estudios culturales y su aplicación al estudio de los lenguajes escénicos contemporáneos (Cultural studies and their application in contemporary stage languages) was scheduled for 11:00 and was given by the full professor in Spanish Literature Ángel Berenguer.
