Tribute at La Nau to the last shot people by the Francoism, in the 40th anniversary

On Sunday 27th September was the 40th anniversary of the last Francoist shootings, in which were executed five young antifascist militants in the cities of Madrid, Barcelona and Burgos. On the next days it will take place the tributes in different Spanish cities. Debates Forum of the Universitat de València and the platform Al Alba join these tributes and organise a session to rescue the memory of that time. The ceremony took place on Monday, on 28th September at La Nau, in the Aula Magna, at 19:00h. Free entrance, number of people limited to the capacity of the room.

Victims of the Francoism and specialists that fought and still fight today against the impunity of those crimes will meet in a round table under the title ‘Al Alba. 27 de septiembre del 75. 40 aniversario de los últimos fusilamientos de Franco’. (‘Al Alba. 27th September 1975. 40th anniversary of the Franco shootings’). In the ceremony will participate Joaquim Bosch, representative of Judges for Democracy; Ana Aguado, historial of the Universitat de València; Concha Blat, lawyer and defender of the anti-Franco prisoners; Lucila Aragó, repressed and anti-Franco fighter, and Pablo Mayoral, processed in the El Goloso courts martial in 1975. Mayoral coincided in prison with some of the last executed in the shootings of the Francoist regime. 
 
The session of Monday started with the reading of poems of Vicent Andrés Estellés, by part of the actress Rosana Pastor and of the poet Jaume Pérez Montaner, and music offered by Borja Penalba and Lucho Roa. The ceremony was presented by the writer and journalist Alfons Cervera, and moderated by the vice-principal for Sulture and Equality of the Universitat de València, Antonio Ariño.
