Universitat de València updates the router connecting the institution to the other R&D centres in the Valencian Community. This update is implemented when the new RedIRIS-NUEVA optical infrastructure is put into operation. The new router, a T-4000 Juniper Networks model and one of the most powerful in the market, allows an IP traffic (IPv4 and Ipv6) up to 3.84 Tbps and can have 208 ports of 10GE and 16 of 100GE.
This router is replacing an M320 by the same producer, which having the same measures as the new one was having an additional traffic of up to 320 Gbps, twelve times less powerful than T-4000.
