Universitat de València signed its joining to the Utrecht Network, which it groups 31 centres in Europa. The one of Valencia is the second Spanish one, after the Complutense, in making up this network, which promotes mobility of students and staff, internationalisation of the curriculum, summer courses, and double degrees and as a whole.

The initiative started from the Office of the Vice-Principal of Internationalisation and Co-operation, and it strengthens the strategy of internationalisation of Universitat de València.
The joining has been formalised during the annual general meeting of this network, celebrated at the Tartu Ülikool university (Estonia). The Utrecht Network, created in n 1987, is a representative network of 31 European universities for 27 countries. Among its members we can underline Università di Bologna, Universiteit Utrecht, Universitetet and Bergen, University College Cork or Université de Strasbourg.
Furthermore, the Utrecht Network cooperates in an exchange programme of students with international networking in America and Australia. That is where the strengthened relationships that Universitat de València keeps with European partners, Latin America, the United States, Canada and Oceania as well as Asian countries, assure a successful contribution to the development of the network.
