
The University of Valencia and the Valencia Economists Association (COEV) have renewed the cooperation agreement signed eleven years ago to strengthen the ties between the two entities. To do this, Esteban Morcillo, principal of the University of Valencia, and Juan Manuel Pérez Mira, Dean-President of COEV, have signed this morning a collaboration agreement that will regulate the activities between the two agencies.
The principal of the University of Valencia has welcomed the signing of this agreement which, he said, will improve the chances of students in face of their employment. "This agreement makes visible some activities that we were already doing and we want to continue to bring forward "
This framework agreement will enhance the implementation of projects and activities of common interest at both the institutional level and at the level of groups integrated in them: teachers, students and professional associations, actions that will benefit the civil Valencian society.
Among other initiatives, other activities will be organised such as training activities, conferences, round tables, workshops and many activities have a common interest.
The agreement, which is indefinite, provides among other things that the COEV promote and disseminate among its collegiate internship programs established for the different degrees of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia, and grant maximum facilities to post in ECONOMISTES articles written by professors of the Faculty, in order to contribute to their disclosure and improving the skills of the professional associations.
It will also inform students about careers, labor market, preparation of resumes, and other topics related to the incorporation of the work of these, actions always taking place in coordination with the Faculty, who will take care of providing appropriate accommodation.
Moreover, COEV will spread among their members all information from the Faculty which has the aim to encourage and promote studies and activities of potential interest to professional users the same and shall make proposals and suggestions to the Faculty for a better matching of curriculum development of students to professional profiles required by the labor market.
The signing of the agreement was attended by the vice-principals Silvia Barona, Clara Martinez, Máximo Ferrando, and the dean of the Faculty of Economics, Vicent Soler.
