The University of Valencia Organises a seminar dedicated to Vicent Andrés Estellés in the Universitat Catalana d'Estiu (Catalan Summer University), which will be hel on 16 and 22 August in Prada (Conflent). The seminar, coordinated by Josep Guía, will consist of four sessions. The University of Valencia's Language Policy Service (http://www.spluv.es/) coordinates the the scholarships for those students who want to attend.
The University of Valencia contribution to this year's Universitat Catalana d'Estiu (Catalan Summer University) is focused on the organisation of the seminar titled "Vicent Andrés Estellés (1924-1993), el poeta valencià més important després d’Ausiàs March (1400-1459)" (Vicent Andrés Estellés (1924-1993), the most important Valencian Poet after Ausiàs March (1400-1459), as the Vicent Andrés Estellés Year because of his 20th death anniversary; and in the participation in the homage to V.A. Estellés that the UCE will pay on 18 August.
The seminar will consistof four two-hours sessions (10 to 12). On 19 will be dedicated to the Vicent Andrés Estellés' civic and political commitment. In charge of Josep Guía (doctor in Maths and Philology at the University of Valencia). On 20, Aina Monferrer (doctorate with a thesis about the style of the Vicent Andrés Estellés poetic work, under the direction of the doctor Vicent Salvador), will talk about 'Geografies literàries de la poesia de V. A. Estellés: ciutats dels Països Catalans' (literary geographies of the Vicent Andrés Estellés' poetry: Països Catalans' cities). On 21, Jordi Oviedo (doctorate in a thesis about the poetic production of Vicent Andrés Estellés in the 60', under the direction of the doctor Ferrán Carbón) will analyse the theme ‘Vicent Andrés Estellés en el conjunt de la literatura europea’ (Vicent Andrés Estellés in the European literature ensemble). Finally, on 22, Jaume Pérez Montaner (professor at the Queens College and doctor in Philology by the University of Valencia) will explain the personal and literary relationship between Joan Fuster and Vicent Andrés Estellés.
In the homage on 18, there will participate Jordi Sebastià, Burjassot municipal Mayor, Carmina Andrés, poet's duaghter; Josep Guía y Joan Algret, members of the UCE's Patronage and Francesc Anyó, rapsoda.
