The Cultural Centre La Nau hosts from 23 to 25 October the "VII Conference on Digital Documentation and Historical Memory: Chasing Ghosts?", organized by the AAV (Association of Archivists and Valencian Records Managers). This is a proposal for knowing not only 'traditional' archivists management, linked to culture , heritage , history and identity values , but also attempts to explore the electronic administration and the latest changes in document management.
A joint analysis which will feature contributions of experts in that field in order to improve in the professional development, in social presence and in the role at the head of the institutions, as also in the academic recognition. All of this at a quite delicate and strategic moment that this appropriate forum for the reflection and analysis of archival reality suggests.
The conferences will be inaugurated on Wednesday, 23 October, at 17:00 in the Aula Magna of the Cultural Centre La Nau. At 17:30, it will take place a lecture by the Italian diplomatic and INTERPARES project manager Luciana Duranti, entitled 'The documentary historical memory in the cloud: an oxymoron or inevitable future'.
