The University hosts a cycle of conferences on Corporate Social Responsibility

The Manuel Broseta Pont Department of Commercial Law of the University of Valencia (UV) begins a series of conferences on Corporate Social Responsibility in collaboration with the Valencian Government within the framework of the Prometheus project. The first activity, Non-Financial Information Statements: a practical view, will be held next Thursday, April 7 at 12:30 p.m. in the Ignacio Albiol Room of the Faculty of Law on the Tarongers Campus.

María Barber, technician of the Prometheus project and technical secretariat of the conferences, clarifies that the objective of the session is “to analyse the elaboration of the main instrument of transparency in the sustainability of a company: the State of Non-Financial Information”. In addition, “this conference is aimed at lawyers as business administration professionals in their different specialisations”, she adds.

The presence of those responsible for the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plans of national companies gives added value to the presentations. Pilar Blaya, director of CSR at the Fundación València Port; Mónica del Pilar Zuleta, corporate director of sustainability at Mapfre; and Elías Amor, corporate social responsibility technician at Consum and Sergio Rodríguez, responsible for sustainable finance at the Cajamar Group, participate in the first session, which can be attended either in person or online.

The direction of the session is the responsibility of Josefina Boquera and Juan Bataller, professors of Commercial Law at the University, in addition to Gabriel García, director of the master’s degree on CSR at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. For its part, the scientific secretariat is formed by Irene Córdoba and Javier Vercher, researcher in training and assistant professor at the UV, respectively.
