Two boys are the freaks of the institute, the "elephants". They speak little and devote their time to hobbies typical of their age and situation. They consider themselves superior in their own weirdness, like the rest of the teenagers in their class. Taking advantage of a largely unregulated gun market, they acquire an arsenal which they will use on a fall day to make themselves heard in the infamous Columbine High School.
