10-hour course. Coordinated by: Pau Rausell Köster. Tenured Professor of Applied Economics University of Valencia.
What is the relationship between space, creativity and culture, and the process of socioeconomic transformation? Has the Mediterranean area, as symbolic and cultural geographical space, any differentiated option to survive the current crisis? What is the relationship between the symbolic content of a territory and its development capacity? Are there creative territories? What relationship can we established between the cultural dimension of a space and the capacity of economic, social or cultural innovation? What is the role of the public space in cultural interaction and creativity? Is la Safor a creative space? Is so Valencia? And if they are, are we taking advantage of that to counter the collective failure to what we face right now? Do we have tools for using culture in order to create models of economic recovery?
