
Socialnest has released seven social entrepreneurship projects that have participated this year in its Business Incubation Program. In the framework of the this edition of “Socialgo!”, an annual event that closes ten months of entrepreneurs training, whose projects have become social entreprises with this programme help.
To mitigate the risk of social exclusion in the neighbourhood La Chanca (Almería) in collaboration with an fisheries artisan canning enterprise. Art and culture available for everyone through social inclusion programs; a system of online agenda to improve the working-family communication in nursery schools; tools for supporting the communication between member of foster families; therapy, education and leisure programs assisted with animal help; home-based recycling to make organic compost, and natural and sustainable bioactive compounds based on native raw material, they are the seven entrepreneur initiatives that have become a social enterprise thanks to the efforts received by the Incubation Program of Socialnest.
Projects Treasure Creppi, Sinteno, Háblame de Mí, Reciclean, Nunna Online, Q’omer BI and ACAVALL Foundation have been presented in the third edition of “Socialgo!”, the act by which this social enterprise incubator of visibility to a program that supports entrepreneurs including training, mentoring, contacts and visibility, among other services aimed at facilitating the creation and consolidation of economically viable enterprises and social impact.
Socialnest, located in the Universitat of València Science Park, is an pioneer organization of support to people who are commited to improve social and environment reality through companies as generators of wealth, employment and social improvement. “Business models that have been presented have a common link and it is that they are composed of people who have a transformative vision of society”, Margarita Albors mentions, responsible of Socialnest. “And that change and contribution comes from its own action, that is, by their project they seek to solve a social problem of the community to which they belong. A social entrepreneur differs from an entrepreneur who seeks to solve a problem in their environment above all else and is not undertaking with the sole aim of maximizing profits”, she finishes.
During the act, the entrepreneurs have presented their business models faced with 300 people, belonging to the business world or interested in this kind of undertaking.
In this edition, “Socialgo!” has counted on the participation of the businessman Enrique Rubio, owner of Cuaderno Rubio, who has informed his own experience running a family business and the homonym foundation, whose goal is to support the education labour of a lot of people all over the world, facing a new technologic era nowadays.
The event finished with recognition awards to several entities that have supported the labour of Socialnest, like ESIC, La Caixa and the Universitat de València Scientific Park.
