The Music Club of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Culture and Society of the Universitat de València aims at encouraging musical culture amongst the university members and, by extension, to the society that includes the Universitat.

With this in mind, activities have been organised throughout the year to project musical culture. More than 40 chamber music concerts, both instrumental and vocal, will be held in the different music halls of the Universitat de València, such as the Capilla de la Spiencia of the Cultura Centre of La Nau, the Muralla Hall in the Rector Peset Hall of Residence and the Joan Plaza Auditorium of the Botanical Garden. The programme of the concerts is divided into 3 seasons: autumn (October to December), winter (January to March) and spring (April to June).

Even though the programme is open to all types of authors and styles, these concerts try to support Valencian music through the systematic inclusion of composers of our territory.

The Music Club collaborates in the organisation of activities in other sectors of the Universitat de València, such as the Equality Unit, with which they are co-organising a season concert dedicated to a repertoire composed and interpreted by women. The collaboration of the Valencian Institute of Culture is also worth noting – they made it possible to hold 9 concerts of the IVC Young Interpreters Season.

The Music Club has been actively working with the Area for Musical Activities of the General Foundation of the Universitat de València, both in the organisation of the concerts as in the joint participation in training activities. Amongst these, it is worth noting the participation of the musicians of the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Universitat de València in the different chamber sections as part of the training programme.
