Mission

The Film School's mission is to train and disseminate film at the University of Valencia, contributing to the cultural enrichment of the university community and society. We promote the creation of networks between audiovisual professionals, students and the community in general, creating spaces for dialogue and learning about film and its capacity for social transformation.

  • Audiovisual education and dissemination: Offering a quality and continuous education in audiovisuals with specialised courses and spaces of cinema research dissemination. We aim to contribute to future professionals’ education and training.
  • Audiovisual sector collaboration: Promoting strategic alliances with festivals and public and third sector institutions to enhance their ties with the University and support the cinema industry.
  • Quality cinema visibility and accessibility: Quality cinema dissemination via Aula de Cine programmes, Cultural Centre La Nau and other UV campus and centres, aiming to broaden the reach and diversity of the cinema activities for university and general public.
