The course aims to draw up an updated vision of the Neanderthals, incorporating the knowledge acquired through various disciplines: Human Paleontology, Paleogenetics and Prehistoric Archaeology.

In these three areas, and based on the findings made in Europe and the Middle East, significant advances have been made in recent years that have facilitated a new way of assessing the role of Neanderthals in the evolutionary process and their cultural capacities.

The course aims to present clearly the progress made in this area, incorporating three specialists of clear international projection, closely linked to the progress made in recent years and who have significant personal research experience in this area.
