The University of Valencia is a member of the Alianza Forthem, made up of an international and multidisciplinary network of nine public universities in which Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania and Spain participate. The Forthem Campus is one of the many initiatives promoted by the alliance. It consists of a semester program of a minimum duration of 3 months and 30 ECTS, aimed at students of all cycles of the seven FORTHEM universities, who throughout that time will be able to take subjects, courses, workshops and other training actions under a theme cross. Each edition is in one of the universities of the alliance, and the University of Valencia has inaugurated these days the 4th, which will be dedicated to Digital Transformation and will have wide participation from different centers and faculty, including the Faculty of Geography and History. Specifically, there will be three transversal courses that our faculty will offer between February and June 2023 to the students of the Forthem alliance, all of them concentrated in the month of May. These are: "Geographical Information Systems: Human and Social Applications", linked to the Department of Geography; “From Databases to Smartphone Apps: Digital Tools for Study, Research and Public Engagement in the Field of History”, proposed by the Department of Modern and Contemporary History; and "Digital humanities, technology and Cultural Heritage", by the "Department of Art History".

The University of Valencia has started the 4th FORTHEM CAMPUS with the participation of different centers and students from one of the countries and universities of the Alliance.
The fourth FORTHEM Campus will be held from the end of January to mid-June 2023 at the University of Valencia. This semester-long exchange combines studies related to your discipline with a special thematic program called Digital Transformation.
