Professor of Social Psychology at the University of Valencia Member of the IDOCAL research institute and senior researcher of the IVIE. Member of the Spanish Academy of Psychology. Director of the Interuniversity PhD Program on Human Resources Psychology (U. Sevilla and U. Valencia). Past-President of ENOP and Former president of IAAP and EAWOP. Doctor Honoris Causa by the University Miguel Hernandez (Elche, Spain) and by the Methodist University of São Paulo. He has been awarded the Aristotle Prizeby the EFPA(2015), the Advanced International Research and Service Awardby the ICP (2013), the Life time awardof EAWOP (2013) and the ‘José L. Pinillos’ award to the excellence and Innovation in Psychology (2016) by Psicofundación (Spain). Golden Medal of the Spanish Council of Industrial Relations and Work sciences and Fellow member of SIOP and EAOH. His research focuses mainly on occupational stress, wellbeing and performance at the individual and collective levels. He also carries on research on team and organizational climate and culture of organizations and on work socialization, labor market entry and unemployment.

Biography
 

Vicente González-Romá is professor of Work and Organizational Psychology at the University of Valencia (UV) and Director of the Research Institute of Personnel Psychology, Organizational Development and Quality of Working Life (Idocal) of the aforementioned university. He served as Director of the Graduate Employment Service (OPAL) of this university from 2009 to 2018.

He has served as Editor (2008-2011) and Associate Editor (2005-2008) of the European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology (EJWOP). Currently, he is Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Psychology, and member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Management, and EJWOP.

He has published articles in high-impact international journals such as Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Vocational Behavior, European Journal of Work and Organizational Psychology, Work & Stress, Applied Psychology: An International Review, Multivariate Behavioral Research, Structural Equation Modeling, and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.

Some of his research topics are organizational and team climate, leader-member exchange, job burnout and engagement, work teams, graduate and youth employment, and research and measurement methods.

He has been the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-PI of nine research projects funded by national and regional research agencies. He has also been member of international research teams funded by European Union grants.
