Responsibilities

The Quality Unit (QU) coordinates and manages quality assessment and improvement processess. This includes the design and implementation of Internal Systems for Quality Assurance (SGIC in its Spanish acronym), as well as the support in all processes related to degree programmes external quality assessment. 

Degree progrmammes evaluation

  • Technical support to undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes in all quality-related processes, both internally (SGIC) and externally (monitoring and accreditation).
  • Technical support to College Quality Committees.
  • Data processing and analysis of student satisfaction surveys for all interest groups; together with the drafting of the corresponding reports. 
  • Support to the UV Postgraduate diplomas to obtain feedback from students and prepare a quality report.

Teaching staff evaluation  

  • Survey data processing and analysis.
  • Organisation and management of teaching staff and departmental assessment reports.
  • Writing of (aggregate) reports for teaching staff, departments and degree programmes.

Evaluation of services

  • Technical support for internal quality management and for the development of improvement plans for units and services.
  • Technical support for units and divisions wishing to apply for external quality seals.

Globally, the QU also...

  • maintains a permanent dialogue with agencies in charge of assessing the quality of the UV services, such as the Spanish Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA) and the Valencian Agency for Quality Assurance (AVAP), as well as with other university quality units. 
  • offers support for the implementation of a culture of quality at the Universitat de València.
