Access and admission procedure for foreign students

The Management Committee for Admission and Pre-enrolment Procedures in public universities in the Valencian University System in its meeting of Thursday 30 of March of 2017 agreed to accept the procedure of certification of marks for access and admission to the University for the academic year 2017/18 and subsequent years that the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED) has regulated for students of foreign studies.

Thus, in the university pre-enrolment process the Valencian public universities will accept the following certifications that are included in the UNED accreditations:

  1. Certification of the university entry grade, resulting from the official recognition of the grade stated on the school leaving certificate obtained by the student in his or her home country.
  2. Certification of the marks obtained in exams of subjects of the Specific Competence Tests (PCE) carried out ate the UNED.
  3. Certification of the grades obtained in external assessment tests taken in the student's home country. This certification will only be accepted in the case of studies completed in countries with which the UJI has signed a university access agreement and provided that the accreditation explicitly states that the grades have been obtained in external assessment tests.

The structure of the UNED procedures for access and admission is as follows (with some specific examples):

Access to the information in the pre-enrolment platform (Conselleria d'Educació)

After obtaining the corresponding accreditations, the interested persons will have to complete the pre-registration process in the university were they wish to study.

In the case of the Universitat de València, this procedure (pre-registration) is responsibility of the Conselleria d’Educació, and brings together the offer of the five Valencian public universities.

The university districts are entities that group together all the universities in the autonomous community for the purpose of allocating places. Each district establishes deadlines and forms to formalise the request.
