The Faculty of Psychology and Speech Therapy at the University of Valencia will take part in several of the activities scheduled in Paiporta במסגרת “Saber mirar Paiporta”, an initiative promoted by the Carmen Santisteban Foundation that will take place from 8 to 22 April at the Museu de la Rajoleria. The project, carried out in collaboration with CEIP Ausiàs March, combines an educational and therapeutic dimension and focuses especially on the school population.

The Carmen Santisteban Foundation is an organisation aimed at promoting initiatives in the fields of education, culture, science and social inclusion. This programme in Paiporta is conceived as a meeting point between community, education and research, through activities that seek to contribute to reflection, recovery and collective resilience.

As part of the programme, on 20 April at 5:00 p.m. the round table “Resources and strategies to foster a climate of safety after the DANA” will take place, featuring Professors Núria Tordera and Inmaculada Silla, both members of the Department of Social Psychology and researchers at the IDOCAL University Research Institute.

Likewise, on 21 April at 5:00 p.m. the round table “Contributing from Behavioural Sciences Methodology to the creation of a protocol for measuring and monitoring community resilience” will be held, chaired by Professor Amparo Oliver, member of the Department of Behavioural Sciences Methodology at the Faculty. This session will also include the presentation of work carried out by the ARMAQoL research team.

The participation of Faculty staff in this initiative highlights the contribution of psychology to processes of social recovery, community strengthening and the generation of useful knowledge in the aftermath of emergency situations such as the DANA.
